GPS acting weird

correction

Sorry, I was mistaken (again). Yes, it's the compass on the autopilot that was wacky. It now agrees with the other two compasses. Also, I'm glad to hear that the Garmin GPSMap 76 is not easy to use. And here I was thinking that it was only me!

Caliberation

John - I use Garmin 76CShand held - I would not go anywhere without it. Mine also gives wrong compass direction. I learned to caliberate the compass where it will be during the sail. To caliberate press the Page button untill you see the Compass, then press Menu, Reset, Yes, OK , then it asks you to slowly rotate the compass in the same direction for 2 complete turns. Your compass is now caliberated. otherwise your maps will be upside down and you will be traveling the wron direction. Also GPS will not "see" the sattelites when indoor. I hope this helps.
