I have the above equipment which is having a problem. Does anyone else have this configuration? Problem: The 176 has a route layed out that I have selected and started navigating with. On the ST4000 I engage the handle, select Auto and press the track key. Everything works fine until I get to the first waypoint. The GPS annouces that I have arrived and the 4000 starts beeping and flashing Next Wpt. I press the track key, it tells me which way I'm going to turn and then starts flashing Next Wpt again. At this point I press the Track Key again and it repeats until I'm tired of pressing buttons. I can move the GPS cursor to the next waypoint and goto function. 4000 to standby, auto, track and the autopilot tracks to the next waypoint and starts the whole process over again. Is anyone else having any problems with route tracking? Raymarine has my autopilot and stated they can't find anything wrong with it. They wonder if it is my waypoints naming that is causing the problem. (reaching for straws are they). Jim S/V Java

I had the same problem, it was in the setup on the Garmin unit. On the main page, you will see a bunch of tabs go to the end, were you will see one that deals with communication it needs to be set to 2400 baud and the desired conmunication. I hope this helps, when it is hooked up if disp is pushed the next waypoint will apear on st400
