We were at the finish line for the Governor's Cup race from Annapolis to St Mary's College this last weekend. Winds were in the great position to see the fleet coming to the finish line with spinnakers flying. Dove was the RC finish line. Enjoy..

Positively beautifull both the pictures and the quotes. As I type, this CBS is going to have a story on a legally blind sailor who is going to attempt to sail around the world. Incredible what we sailors will do for the pleasure of a sail. I look forward to watching this.

I've sailed the Governor's Cup three times, and enjoyed it each time. The crew, weather, and mix of boats racing make it interesting each time. The return trip from St. Mary's back up the bay is fun, though we were usually shorthanded for that. Good times.

Jim...

do you recall what class that was the finish photo of? I didn't crew this year but the boat I would have been on was apparently 5th in A2 (we were 13th OA and 3rd in class last year). Since the photo looks later in the morning and at least one spinnaker looks familiar, I'm curious to know...

I learned after the raceboat returned to our marina that the position I saw it in was actually back in the pack. They ended up about 18th after a bad night and missed wind line opportunity.

One of the guys in my club was in this race, he is a great sailor but had to leave early as another boat hit his and left a gaping hole in the gunwhale
