Governor's Cup Race to St Marys

Who's going?Don - Mark either of you racing down the bay this coming Friday night?As of this morning I plan to be in St Mary's Friday night to witness the fleet arrival on Saturday morning. Then stick around for some food and drink. You will know "Java" the battle flag will be flying....JimS/V Java

Oh no!

Unfortunately, I had to skip this race althought the race boat is going (Labyrinth). Scott's Cub Scout pack is going to the Potomac Nationals game on Friday night and then camping out on the field.The big boats will be in early if the wind is good. I guess you can buy tickets for beer and the party on the grounds but I'm not sure. You may need a registration wristband. Anyway its a heck of a party.If you see Labyrinth (Nicholson 33) give them a cheer. Its a LONG race. Attached is a good picture of the hull and its distictive paint job.Mark

Governor's Cup looks wet

From the looks of this morning's weather, the Governor's Cup looks like it is going to be a little wet.Even after sailing in the last three, I haven't, yet, seen rain.I'll miss this year's race, by default. Good luck to all participants. I'll be thinking of you.
