gouged gelcoat on 380

Well backing in last night I almost cleared but now have a decent gouge by the port rubrail aft. Looking at some repair kits i see with wax and without. Any thoughts?

Ron, check out the Spectrum Color website. They have small jars of gel repair paste that are color matched to factory boats. Easy to work with.

If you use gelcoat without wax for the final coat, you will have to apply PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) on top in order for it to cure properly (tack free). If the gelcoat has wax in it in, you do not have to apply PVA. If you apply multiple coats of gelcoat with wax, the wax has to be removed after curing before subsequent coats are applied.
