Last week I happened to be riding my bike down to the lake Marina when My bot got hit with the tornado last spring. I was curious about how the clean up was going. To my amazement I found that not only had the Marina owner cleared up all of the tornado debris , but was a long way towards having the Marina up and running this next spring.
The Mac X that replaced the classic which was totaled is at another lake . It is a much smaller lake and is nice and round . Kinda like sailing in a bathtub . Located right in the middle of the city. Can get very crowded.
Anyhow the owner happened to be there and told me to call him back today about saving a slip. Now all I have to do is go down and pick out one. In the past he has always had a waiting line to get a slip. looks like next spring is looking up already.

I got my V 22 from the sea scouts up there and saw the marina last month. Glad to hear it is good to go this spring.

I have to much work to do on her yet to put money into a slip although I was seriously considering doing that for a while. Also driving all the way to Norman to sail vs driving to Texhoma is one of those things.
Texhoma has the islands you can tie up to and camp out on.

If I was in your neighborhood I would do the same thing. T-bird is our best option in this area. Hefner is like a big bath tub. No place to pull into or be able to camp out .
Look on our craigslist. a guy is parting out a Oday , and has some stuff that may help you out. The Mast can be cut down , especially if he has the stepping hardware to go with it.

From your pictures it looks rough but some cleaning , and paint will take care of that.
I picked up a 18ft Flying Scott as our first boat. Paid very little for it. Needed a bit of work, used it for two seasons , then sold it for a lot more than I had into it. Moved up to the Mac 26 D.
On paint I found the Rustolum Marine paint to be good, easy, and affordable. Ordered mine through home depot. If you have any questions they have a great support system. Two years later the paint still looks good.
Do you have a interior ladder ???

No. Thanks for the heads up on Rustoleum having marine grade paint. I did not realize that.

I still have the one step ladder in my shed. You can have it if you want. Not sure what kind of jerry rigging you will have to do . We are heading to Corpus Christi , Tex on the 4th , and will be back the middle of Feb. That is if it is not to cold.
Then I will be putting a rolling furlong up for sale, and getting my boat ready for a thawed out lake.
