You have been very helpful to me in the past. It is obivous form the number of postings that you filled a hugh gap in our knowledge. Given the number of posts in your forum I am amaized you were able to hang in as long as you did..Best of Luck

Hope that this is just a sabbatical...

and that you, like Frosty the Snowman, will be back again some day. The wonderful and equally exasperating thing about all the information that you've shared with us is that it is just information (example- "I didn't know that!!), until we are pressed to USE it. We simply don't retain it until something breaks (example-Gordon, how the hell do I fix my...) and you've answered that question 50 times, twice just yesterday. Thanks again for your patience, humor, and knowledge in that order. Tom Ehmke

I'll agree

That your responses were the best. I hope you stop back once in a while to answer some of the tough stuff. God speed Gordon, May you be blessed in your future as you have blessed us in the past. r.w.landau

We'll Miss You

Gordon, Its been great for all of us to benefit from interacting with you here -- thanx!... This forum also made me aware of Marine Diesel Direct, which has proven to be a GREAT source of parts & supplies... look forward to continued dialogue in the future... "Fair winds & following seas"!

Now you know...

What some of us Great Lakes sailors have known for a long time. Gordon and the staff of Torresen Marine are some of the most knowledgable and helpful people anywhere. I've had the good fortune attending a diesel maintenance class that Gordon taught at TMI, so I learned right from the master! But now it's boat show time, and then it will be spring commissioning time, and you won't find Gordon sitting behind a desk. Why, he's probably out in the yard right now, shuffling boats around or rigging up spars!
