gooseneck rivets

Putting my 26 hunter(97) away for the season. When taking the boom off noticed a very loose rivet that holds the gooseneck to the mast. In fact could pull it out if tried hard enough. How does one re rivet this. Appears to me to be very serious condition.

Post a picture if you can. If possible replace the rivet with a SS bolt. If it goes into a blind area in the boom or mast maybe you can drill out the old rivet and replace with a new one.

Drill it out, you may need to use a larger size rivet if it erroded any of the mast and use a SS pop rivet. That'd be my suggestion.
