As we learned in the SPOT thread (after a little thread drift), it's possible to have Google Earth fly along GPS tracks that you have imported and also record tours. The GE elevation data for Passamaquoddy Bay includes bottom topography so if you have Google Earth installed and click this link:

you will fly along my route through Western Passage seeing the huge holes and amazing bottom topography that help create the Old Sow whirlpool and current boils. You may need to click "Tools", "Options" and make sure that 3D terrain is set properly. I don't know if my recording preserves elevation. If it seems like you are at 16000 feet (the default) lower the camera view to about 300 meters for best effect.
You can click the image on most of these cruise track pages

to load the tracks into Google Earth. Then click the little camera icon in the lower right corner of the Places sidebar box and you will fly along my route seeing my track. (You may need to click "View" and "Sidebar". You can go to options and set the camera view to the lowest setting to get the approximate view from water, or maybe masthead, level. This could be good for becoming familiar with an area visually but it's a better show from about 300 meters up.
There are some grand tours of Maine in my cruise tracks so, if you aren't familiar with this part of the world, you may enjoy taking them. It sure nice to watch them and remember on a dreary winter day. It's amazing how much more I remember about the cruise seeing them this way than just looking at the chart tracks.
