I moved the light from above the stove to the head on my cat30 built in 1991 and now out of one screw hole I get occasionally this brownish gooey liquid. It is almost like a resin certainly not as viscous as water. I'm going to remove the hand rails over that area and rebed just in case and maybe the jenny track. Has anybody else had a similar experiece? Thanks,

Time to find the leak!

You have water in the core of your deck. The brown gooey liquid is decaying core material. If it were me I would remove and re-bed the enire deck after I used a moisture meter to determine the damage & repair if necessary.. Good luck!!!

Could be the traveler track...

On our '87 30 T we replaced the traveler track but somehow the elevated design pods where the track is attached became filled with the brown, gooey stuff you describe. Check that source -- it was no fun getting the pods emptied and we finally had to resort to drilling small outboard holes at the bottom of each for draining. Required lots of boat heeling. We ultimately filled up the pods with that expandable foam then sealed all the holes. No more leak.
