Trying to hold our confused emotions in-check about our major lifestyle change, we sadly say "Goodbye to Speedy" our 95 H26. We must pull her out of the water tomorrow and take her to our home for the last time. Speedy has protected us from our gross inexperences, housed us, warmed our cold bodies and laughed at our follies. She has shamed rodeo animals with her ability to round-up, broach, buck and stop, all at our slightest request. We have shared many quiet sunsets, enjoyed night time light shows and worn out the energy of many grandkids. They have slept soundly in the safety of her cabin after endless play. She will be introduced to new owners in the next month, but only after the 3 of us agree about whom they will be. Speedy, Maria and I. She's not just a sailboat for sale, she's the answer to a dream. Her log will proudly stand at the head of the nav table aboard her larger sibbling..."Speedy's Sister". The house is sold, the furnishings are being packed and stored and Speedy goes on the market this weekend. Please do not ask questions about Speedy's availability on this form. This posting is in reconition of the love between us, her parents and her. She opened our lives to sailing, thus changing our future forever. Ray & Maria The Honored Owners of "SPEEDY"

A great tribute

to what has been a super boat and experience for you. Good luck with Speedy's Sister, and may you enjoy the move up as much.

Ray, PICTURES!!! Time's running out!

I hope you get time to take some pictures of the many modifications you've described on these forums before 'Speedy' is sold. I'm sure you're really busy right now but I'd sure appreciate it. Please?

Jim, Tom, We sold the house and everything else.

We will drive to New Orleans and visit family until about Aug, 21. Then we'll follow the coast line to the Florida Keys and then turn north towards Annapolis looking for "That Boat". We'll know her when we find her. There we stop, sell the car, fit out the boat, stock her up and leave for the next 10 years. The beauty of our plan is that there is no plan. We sail until we tip over. Tom, I have the pictures so I'll try to send some tomorrow. Ray & Maria.

Ray check this out!

I took a picture of this about two weeks ago just off South River, which is just south of Annapolis. Its named the Santa Maria, might be what you are looking for. When you get in the Annapolis area give me a call we can hook up. 703 759 4627 Might even go sailing or let you stay at the house, but of course it will cost you. I'm still tuning the rigging!!! Keep in touch Ray!

I will definitely miss your posts in the Smaller Boats Forum. Hopefully you will keep in touch through this forum regardless of where your travels take you. If you ever plan a trip up (or down) the Atlantic ICW, be sure to stop in at Kennedy Point Yacht Club in Titusville for a visit. It's the best place in the world to watch space shuttle launches. Wishing you fair winds. Peter H23 "Raven"
