Looking around the internet, the prices for new mail sails runs the full spectrum. I might consider a used sail, but a new one might be the better choice. Can anyone provide reputable, reliable lofts or sources for mailsails in this country, for both used and new? Thanks Bob '88 30 Catalina - tall rig Inland Georgia

I recently bought a new main sail for my 1978 Hunter 27 from The Sail Loft in Atlanta, GA. The sail looks great and has great shape. The price was about $1100 and it took about 8 weeks to get it. I plan on letting them install roller furling this fall or early next spring. Good guys to work with (they also made a custom Bimini for me).

I have Rolly Tasker
I have Rolly Tasker sails. They are cruising not racing, racing sails can be a lot of money. I bought them at a local sail loft but they are the same sails The Sail Warehouse sells. Check them out on the internet. They will send you a catolog if you want. At a boat show I checked out Quantum sails and got a estimate. They were not a lot more at the sailboat show price.

Tasker Too
I got a new Tasker main for my M-25 from Island Planet Sails in Oregon this winter. Very happy with the sail and with the price I paid. IP sails price was a little less than Sail Warehouse. The shape is perfect and the construction quality is excellent.

Cruising Direct
Try cruising direct. They are owned by North, and use all North cloth in their sails. Their number is 888-424-7328. I purchased a new sail from them for this season and was very pleased with the workmanship. I will be buying another sail from them for next year. Give them a try, I think you will be impressed. Dale
