Recall we had some discussion about Roy Disney's Morning Light. It is worth seeing and buying for sure. Well, I wasn't aware Roy had made one in 1978 about the Newport Beach / Ensenada BC race. I don't remember where I got it, but you can get it through Amazon. I think I paid less tho.

Anyhow, it is great fun to see the 70's again. Big collars, big hair. Everyone smoking. No harnesses, life vests, GPS's. I don't think Loran was even in yet. It certainly isn't PC. Great boat scenes often from a crew perspective. A good chunk was filmed aboard the Spencer 62 "Ragtime", the daddy of downwind sleds (and which won the Tahiti race last year as I recall).

Enjoy.

Just ordered it Rick D. It is getting to be that time again. We are gonna blink and its gonna be time to set sail for Newport. I also just recently read a book called Black Wave by John and Jean Silverwood. Very touching story and perspective on what it really like to go cruising as a family. Good read.

Cheers
