Good sailing book (fiction)

I'm always looking for good reading about sailing and just finished one of the better ones I've read. "Every Boat Turns South" by J. P. White. Unfortunately it's his first so I'll have to wait a while for his sequel.

I like historical sailing fiction. I keep rereading Patrick O'Brian's 20 book series.

Like you, I keep out-reading my favorite living authors.

The Swallows and Amazons series by Arthur Ransome are great "childrens" books about sailing which I continue to reread. Also, whatever you may think of his politics, all of the William F Buckley, Jr sailing books: "Atlantic High", "Windfall", Racing Through Pradise" are wonderful sailing reads.

Try the Strange Voyage of Donald Crowhurst or Around the World in the Sloop Spray by Joshua Slocum or Gypsy Moth by Sir Francis Chichester (might not be all exact titles, but that will get you there when you Google them).
