I was reading some sailing related books lately. ..
"Forsaken" stories about golden globe, vendee globe circumnavigations of Antarctica .
Interesting read..couldn't put it down...
And Witch in the wind...the true story of the Bluenose. .a great book.
Any suggestions of some other good reads??

I recently read "Before the Wind - True Stories About Sailing" a good collection of sailing short stories and first hand accounts. Previously I finished Joshua Slocum's "Sailing Around the World Alone" which is a great account of his adventure restoring and then sailing singlehanded in a 36 ft 1800s era sailboat. I'm now reading "Chesapeake: Exploring the Water Trail of Capt. John Smith" which has been interesting in helping me plan historic sailing trips in my backyard waters.
I'll read any sailing stories really, that help pass the time away through the long winter season. It helps keep me sane till I can get back out on the water.
