good place to buy a main sail

hey i was wondering if anyone would know where to get the best price for a main sail. Or a main sail patch kit, I am trying to determine wether or not my main is to badley torn. it has some yellowish stains every where and that seems to be the problem because the fabric is weak at those points. I just bought the boat so its not my fault yet...it has n't been well kept.

Rrepair or replace

There are many sail lofts that can repair your sail with new panels. If the sail is not in good condition I would consider replacing it. There are also many lofts and sail sales where a used one or even a new one can be had very reasonably. Remember, your sail, like an engine needs to be in good condition or it won't sail correctly. I'm sure you'll get sites for new or used sails in short order here.Lots of experience with buying sails out there on this forum.Steve

National Sails. new and used

here i am hanging-out on the mac board again. (i have a hunter 23). i got my new 120 genoa at national sails. (they recieved very high marks in practical sailor, mar 2005, after i had already purchased my sail). they are very helpful and know their stuff. talk to Dirk Sharland.

Cheap sales

If not in a hurry and you want used ecenomical sails--try ebay. It may be a way to go if you can't afford new sails right now.I just saw an entire suit of sails go for $100.Only problem is your not guaranteed condition until you get them.Bryan

will a 26m or X mainsail work on a 26s

I've seen 26m main sails for sail for $600 but 26s for sale for 900. I don't suppose a 26m would fit on 26s
