By the way, there's an interesting article in here about maintenance of Harken travelers. Happens it's the same as the one I have. Very interesting and valuable information that I have not seen elsewhere.
One thing I think they could have suggested, though, is as an annual maintenance task, to put a dab of grease on the contact area of the shackles. I have this high temperature disc brake grease that I think would be ideal, since it's quite sticky, and waterproof.
