We didn't get the research vessel design job. I'll be heading for Nova Scotia and the Bras d'Or Lakes in the morning or as soon as weather permits.

Sorry to hear about the job... and we'll miss you here on the Bay this Summer..
but, Nova Scotia sounds like a great adventure. We'll be looking forward to this Summer's posts from Strider.

Yes, they picked a firm from your neck of the woods whose last research vessel was one I pretty much designed, as a sub-contractor, back when my son, now graduating from college, was in diapers.

I can't imagine what they were thinking, travel costs aside.

Well Roger, I hate that for you. I have often found though, that when I didn't get something that I wanted real bad, down the road it turned out to be the best thing, but I wasn't seeing it at that moment. Regardless, sail on Roger.
I suspect a higher reasoning..

Hopefully we'll see you somewhere on the Nova Scotia coast or maybe in the Bras D'ors this summer Roger. They have a new marina at Ben Eoin that you'll have to check out, you'll enjoy the scenery and the people. Safe travels.
