West Marine has a sale price on the Garmin 441s for $299.99. This is a good price and I like this unit. I used one for the last few years on the Catalina 30.

I went in today and I was looking at them. The price is on the net but the sore didn't have the same price on the unit. It was listed for $389.99 in the store.

I found this unit to be more than enough and it was nice.

The new Garmin Units have an app and can communicate with an iPhone or iPad. This is crazy and I am not sure why someone would want to do all of that. Some technology is nice...but I like getting away from a ton of technology when I go out sailing. This is probably why I don't understand why someone wants a TV in the boat! I have gotten to the point where I leave the laptop at home because I don't need it to do the stuff that I use to do.

I have a Garmin 441 , I got it from http://www.gpscity.com/. Paid $300. after rebate . I really like this unit with the BlueChart chip . It is so simple to use . But really Bad , I know what you mean about no TV . The other night Ms. Westi got her TV locked up ,and thru a big fit over it , I thought about tossing it overboard . But I didn't then she got it working again . I have to admit though watching reruns of McHales Navy is a hoot .
