I just bought a catalina 25 and I insured it with the same company that I have Car insurance with. I used Allstate. They will do it as long as it is not a liveaboard. I am Paying $142.00 a year. That is with 100,000 Coll./5,000 Medical/$250 deductable
I have never made a claim, so can't comment on customer service, but I recently switched my insurance to Boat US. The premiums are much less than I had been paying with prior "marine insurance" companies.Best of luck,Trevor
...or in the water in a marina? If it's in a marina you will have specific coverages that homeowners' insurance may not address. Boat US is the cheapest marine insurance I have found. If it's on a trailer, Boat US has coverage for that also.
