Steve Gibson recommends the ZoneAlarm firewall.He has a lot of interesting information on security, privacy, and trojan horse viruses.He has a number of test programs to check your firewall's performance.I use Time Warner's cable modem, and was amazed at how many people are "knocking at my door".
