I have been absent from the site for a while. Managed to dislocate and break my left wrist, a while back. Surgery, the whole nine yards. No fun at all. And just in case anyone is wondering about the costs of hospital and Dr.s these days, I am currently at 29K and not done.

I broke my wrist when I was 45. It took about five years for it to stop hurting! I tell you this not to discourage you, but instead to encourage you to persevere and keep up the flexibility and strength conditioning, even when it seems fruitless.

Medical procedures have advance so far today and it really changes our lives. Just thinking about what Phil's wrist would have looked like in the 1950's or 60's is scary.
I just had my left hip totally replaced Monday June 2'd and came home the morning of June 4th. I'm using forearm crutches now for about a week and there is no pain at all. I think I'm luckier than Phil. The cost will probably bust my back though.

Hope you're ship-shape again soon. Maybe this is a good time for those electric winches :)

Get well and sailing soon.
Remember it's called single handing for a reason.

I just splashed yesterday after waiting out a broken elbow. I hope your wrist is healing!
