golf cart batteries

Has anyone installed two golf cart batteries into the battery compartment of a C30. I have the model with the compartment unter the starboard settee

i dont have a C30 but i do have a C22 i instaled golf cart batt in my boat and i have to say it was easy and they are by far the longest lasting and truble free batt i have used they work great i have not charged them in over a month!! and i use my boat 3-4 times a week the old marine batt i had would allmost last the weekend

Wont fit

If you have a Catalina 30 MkII (newer than 1987) the battery compartment is about 1 inch too shallow for golf cart batteries. You need to modify the locker to make it deeper or get batteries that are less tall. You can fit 2 regular 12-volt batteries up to size 31 into the available space without modifications as long as you dont use battery boxes. Group 24 is the only size that fits into the area if you want to use battery boxes.
