Going to the Annapolis Boat Show?

For the first time in... well, a long time, Bly and I will be at the Annapolis show this year.

We're crashing the Hunter Sailing Association party Friday night, but we don't want to miss all the SBO folks who won't be at that event!

Those of you who know the territory, is there a good place to meet, say, Friday at 1pm? Or is another time on Friday better?

It's always fun to match real people with usernames and we look forward to seeing or meeting you!

I really am too busy right now to sneak away for the show, but I think I will have to figure it out.. Looking at tickets now....

Just booked car and flight. I will be at the show Thurs, Fri & Sat.....

Oh and all hotels are booked, arghhh, so I'll need a berth cushion or even cockpit cushion to crash on..... Any takers....?

First time in 15 years I'm not going ans you decide to organize something. We're taking toe motorhome from NJ to Nebraska to pick up my open stacker trailer. Car and motorcycle on the bottom, sailboat on top. May be you can organize something again in another 15 years.

Mainesail:

Try the Holiday inn on Route 1 in Laurel Md. I've always been able to get a room there. ABOUT 1/2 hour from Annapolis and you get to drive around Ft. Mead. Do not stay in the center of Laurel.

Everyone could meet out front, then hit the bar or find a table big enough for the group. Furthermore, you will be near the Weems & Plath Tent Sale...

Boat show...

Hitting the show on Friday (last time about five years ago). Will be stopping by the Hunter display for a while and grabbing an RB sammy at the Fleet Reserve Club with some of my sailing buddies.

We always book a room almost a year in advance. We have a place with a jacuzzi tube for after a long day of walking around.

Looking at the forecast may need my foulies. Started going on Thursday. Better crowds

There's a new place but too far to walk from the show. It is the Annapolis Smoke House BBQ, just s few doors left of the West store in Hillsmere. Live music Thu night at 9. Happy hour prices on food and drinks specials. /// I plan to go to the show on Thursday, but watching the weather. Otherwise, Saturday i guess. I live about a mile away, in Eastport.

Working all day Thu & Fri (at the show) then spending it all at Pussers Fri nite!

We're tied up across the way at Yacht Haven but its a working yard with no amenities.

I will also likely be wearing an orange hat with my Compass Marine logo...

Okay, here's the plan: We'll at The Boatyard Bar & Grill (roughly a 15 minute walk from the show), Friday at 1pm. We're buying.

I'm the old fart wearing the SailboatOwners.com jacket and or shirt, depending on the weather. I'll post a map later today.

From the show, go over the Spa Creek (Gulf of Eastport as we call it) bridge. Go to the first street, Severn Ave, (the traffic light is at 6th @ Severn), go left two blocks and you'll find The Boatyard Bar and Grill next to the Christmas tree. Can't miss it. There is parking for the show at the school at 6th/Severn. Probably 20 bucks again this year.
