Going crazy over this disconnected wire

Here the heck does it go and what does it connect to? Now that the Higgs Boson has been found, this is the leading question that the world scientists, or fellow sailors should tackle. It's driving me nuts. Everything seems to have power, and it traces back to the electronics switch the DC panel.

Uummm... WHICH switch? There should be a number on the wire, and you can reference it in your owner's manual wiring list. You DO have one, DON'T you?

Do you by any chance have a "spare" red wire connected to nowhere in the starboard rear cabin inside the little clothes cabinet or another one above the light (one of the five) right above the galley? I also have some ...URO (unidentified red objects!!) but not sure if I have them in the switch panel too. I will need to check.
I have also a switch in the panel, that although has wires connected to it, I have never figured out what is connected to! And it's only a boat with a few electrics not a nuclear power station.
