My 82 C30 has a 5411 that starts very reliably with 30 seconds of glow plug operation, longer if on a cold morning, shorter if the engine is warm. I really hate sticking my head in the cockpit to "push" the button, not only is it uncomfortable but I really can't see where I am going if I am starting the engine while under sail. Does any one know of a diesel start timing box that would sense the engine temp and beep at me when the glow plug time was compete? This way I could press the glow plug button once and then wait for the beep, then start the engine. Randy Chitwood Lake Tahoe
