My Givens 6 man offshore liferaft is one year past its certification. I want to have it serviced and it may need a new gas inflation device. There is a lot of internet chatter about the Perrino family selling the company. I can't find to whom they sold the firm. I get no response from the http://www.givensliferafts.com website.
If I can't find the old or the new Givens company, I may have to open the raft up, change the flares and any other outdated materials and try to find out who makes the inflation cartridge and firing mechanism and change that myself as well.
Any one know anything about this? I am located in The Netherlands and Givens told me last year that there were only two service centers in Europe that could service a Givens, but they couldn't service the inflation system.
