Thanx Rob R, Austin Tx for the info. provided. Now, anyone else out there know about or used this product? Need to get info updating as I may need to have this product to upgrade my chainplates. Anyone got an address/phone # for product info? Regards, Jim H. Sturgeon Bay (where we do frostbite sailing!) Wi.

I would check with West. Not everyone there is a boat pro, but there usually one or two guys who know exactly what you need, and where it is. Our guys here in Austin are great. Let us know how you make out, as I need to do this very same project. Best Regards, Rob

Yes...

I have used it twice. Once with good results and once with not so good results. If there is still reasonable form to the wood underneath (Not completely rotted out) it will work great as long as you follow the directions it’s good for small area repair. However, I would suggest going to your local med supply and getting some large gauge syringes instead of trying to use out of the bottle supplied. Also, unless you are doing this on a very cold day I would have a container of iced water to set the solution in while you applying with syringe. The warning about the chemical reaction is not exaggerated. Make sure you have areas where you don't want it covered. Have more than plenty of rags, (not paper towels) and use vinegar to clean up immediately after you inject and anywhere it might drip. Use a clean side of the rag each time you clean or you will spread it where you don’t want it. If it gets where you don't want it and hardens it doesn't come off unless you sand it off. Be extra careful you do not drill your holes too deep or you will have a real mess. Keep in mind the colder the day the longer it takes to set up therefore the more time it has to "settle" into the lowest point where injected. Seeing where you're from I might wait till spring or use some sort of heat source try speed set up for better saturation of the injected area. Being down here in Texas my problem was keeping it from setting too fast. Good Luck. Regards, Lysle
