** This thread discusses the Content article: Getting hitch **

If you could pull your boat up on a trailer (and many of you already can!), hitch it to your car, and tow it anywhere in the world... where would you go?Which body of water is calling to you?

believe it or not, I\'d want to go somewhere it wasn\'t blowing so stinking hard. last half-dozen times I\'ve had the boat out, including a beer can race last night, I\'ve been pretty seriously reefed and yet still had the rail down. is it just my luck, or has this been an unusually breezy spring?

I dunno, it seems to blow pretty hard there

I had my 450 commissioned in Alameda (right around the time you bought your 410, I think) and it was shocking. I _never_ left the dock unless reefed. It's quite different than Puget Sound sailing where we raise sails then pop up the table and dig into the food and wine.

In SF, that crap would have been over the side before we cleared the breakwater.

This question is trickier than it looks....

Anywhere with some warm, clear, salt water, a proper ramp and some decent wind. It's a lot harder to find than you would think, and I live in Florida!
