Hello all I have a 1977 Hunter 25 and I'm looking for a trailer for for it I looked at a custom build and the price went through the roof. How do I go about finding a used trailer to Buy or rent. I'm very inecperienced in The US as I'm from England origionally and don't know where to start.

Try Boat Angels
They are an organizatin that takes basket-case donations and resells them. You can probably get a boat and trailer for way less than just the trailer. You may have to make some mods to fit you boat but far cheaper than starting from scratch. Frank

2 years ago I purchased a new repo trailer never used for 700 dollars. I converted it to a sailboat trailer. Champion trailers sells 2x2 metal tubing "cut to length". Just bolt in place with u-bolts. I have about 1000 dollars in it.

Greetings, The previous owner of my 25 Oday had my trailer built. We had Quick Load in St. Petersburg build it. It is an awesome trailer and I get compliments on it regularly. Just google Quick Load and ask for Jack. He's the man. He stands behind his product too. He and one of his guys came to my rescue on the side of the road when I lost a wheel bearing. Fixed it on the spot. How can you beat that. He has since beefed up the trailer and replaced the tailights and a couple of other minor tweaks when we took it back in for regular service. He is the only sailboat trailer guy that I can recommend. Ross in Tampa 1979 Oday 25 "Lola"

Check your local buy and sell,
little nickle, Craigs List, and and other used lists. As the other posters have said, if you get a basic trailer that will hold the weight, you cna modify it to take your hull.
