I have a 25 lb Danforth anchor and once I get past refitting this boat I plan on getting a Manson Supreme. The Danforth will suit my needs for now but I need to add an anchor roller right now to my O'Day 25. I want one that is compatible with both a Danforth and a Manson. I do see there a few that are compatible with a Danforth and a Plow. If an anchor roller is good for a Plow would it be good for a Manson? I have not really seen them mention a roller specifically for a Danforth and a Manson, but I think a Manson and a Plow would fit on a roller the same.

Manson and Danforth

I have a 25 lb Danforth and just replaced it with a 25 lb Supreme on my H-30. No roller fit issues at all. And at the risk of starting a fight, the Supreme sure did hold good on my 3 week summer cruise in the Abacos.

C 36 with Manson

My 35 lb. Manson does not fit perfectly on the roller. I have to (1) use the rode to secure it; and (2) tie a little length of line from the pulpit to the roll bar on the anchor. I'm sure that one way or another most rollers can be adapted to the anchor.

The Manson is designed to self deploy,

therefore it has to be tied into the roller. While it is a pain in the butt, always wanting to fall out of the roller, that, as Bill Gates used to say is "designed functionality". Works great for the windlass crowd (I'm joining soon), but a little difficult for the manual crowd.

Thread. I was looking to get a medium roller that can hold up to a 50 lb anchor and 3/8" chain. As I will be using a 25 lb Danforth or a 25 lb Manson, I figured it would handle both?
