Catalina 30 Edmonton
I just purchased a Catalina 30 MkII with Tall Rig and a Bow sprit. This is my first boat. I am confused by all the sail measurements I see. Catalina shows the following for a tall rig I= 43' E = 12' P= 37'6" J= 13'1 7/8" The Genoa is in rough shape and I need to replace it. There are lots of places selling used sails but they talk in Luff and leech measurements. I have tried to figure out what they would be but get more confused the more I research. Can someone make this easy for me? The boat has Roller furling. Thanks Ken

Sail measurements

Try these links and measure the Luff, Leech, Foot and LP of the sail you want to replace. Use those measurements when searching for a new sail. http://www.cruisingdirect.com/LP_Measure.htm http://www.catalina30.com/Organization/specifications.htm

USED 135 ROLLER FURLING GENNY

I have a used (not sure how old it is) 135 genny for my Cat 30 tall rig with roller furling. It was a 150 but had ripped in a storm. It is workable now since a sailmaker has repaired it. It does not have a UV cover on the luff but it is serviceable. It has been reinforced in key areas. Not sure haw much life is left in it. I would sell it to someone that needs one for a low reasonable price. Located on Lake Erie. If you have an intrest, give me a reply.

I need a Genoa sail

Thanks John for the reply. I am interested in your Genoa. My boat is still out on the west coast, I hope to get it here before much snow flies. It has a bow sprit as well as the tall mast. Can you call me at 780 455 2151 or Email at kinny@planet.eon.net. Thanks Ken Lane
