I am looking at my second season sailing (I am a novice) and thinking about Genoa Lead Cars for my Genoa sail. Currently I move the blocks on the toe rail which is unhandy as I mainly sail by myself. I am looking for any advice or feedback.
If you are going to spend the money to install a track based genoa car system on your vessel, I suggest the Garhauer EZ glide system. www.garhauermarine.comI am looking at my second season sailing (I am a novice) and thinking about Genoa Lead Cars for my Genoa sail. I'm guessing he has an actual toe RAIL ... rather than a molded rail with t track fixed on top.. such as my Cat 27. Most boats with that config will have an inside track for working jib, and then use snatch blocks clipped to appropriate slots in the toe rail for the genoa... perhaps even rigging a barber hauler also. That's a lot of extra work for a single hander even with the time saving convenience of a snatch block.I like the idea. Why can't it be set up using the toe rail track?
