Gennaker Rigging

I just bought all new sails for my O'Day 25. A new addition to my sail inventory is the Gennaker. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to set up the boat for it. At the top of the mast I have a bail and block. The question really lies with how to set up the tack attachment.

Block, line, cleat

Most people I have spoken to agree that the ability to control the luff tension with the tack line is vital. The rig I see around here seems to be a block shackled or pinned to the forward chainplate. The tack line runs from the tack, through the block to a cleat from which the luff tension is adjustable. Obvoiusly installing the cleat forward is simpler but running it aft gives you on the fly adjustability.Justin - O'day Owners' Web
