Generator on a 29.5?

Has anyone installed, or know of someone who has installed, a small diesel generator on a 29.5? Interested in plaement as well as effect on trim and sailing. Looking at a small unit by Entec West of about 167 lbs bare, 230 lbs with sound enclosure.Thanks

The weight of carying around a genset is nearly equal to that extra crew mwmber sitting in the corner drinking your beer.What interests you about the Entec? I have a Honda 1000 and I keep it in the dock box and carry it when we stay out for a week or so. seayalater

We cruise and use a Honda 2kw as an aux power source. If you are doing limited cruising this maybe the more economical way to go.I looked up the price on the genset you are looking at. Wow 10K. Take a look at this one. Why Entec gnerator

Already own the Entec 4.2KW. Removed from our previous boat which was a total loss due to Hurricane Ivan damage. I am concered about the extra weigh particularly since it will be of center and way aft.
