I have developed a pin hole leak in what appears to be the original stock steel muffler system. I am considering buying a new Vernalift Muffler replacement available in the current West Marine Catalog - 2002. My question is: What is the correct hose size attached to the original units on the Pearson 35? My best guess would be 1 1/2" diameter hose but I am confused because there appears to be two diferent size hoses attached to the intake and out-take ports. Is the outake vent the same diameter as the intake, but thicker because of hot exhaust gas and seawater expanding when expelled? If there is someone out there who can answer these questions, I invite input. Thanks. Toran
