I'm thinking about purchasing an 1985 Hunter 31. One of it's problems though is a crack in the gel coat below the water line. I've been told the hull is a solid hull so non of the core should have been affected. The crack does not go all the way through the hull. I've been told the boat has been sailed this way through two owners. I've also been told it would cost about $1500 to fix. Is this something I should worry about and consider not purchasing this boat?
