Hey Guys, I got the results of the gelcoat work. It turned out to be some older gelcoat. We got new gelcoat and new hardener and called the manufacturer (of the gelcoat, not Hunter) and got the ratio, applied and it hardened. We called Hunter, and once again, they seemed irritated that a customer would call with a question. I called asking for an extra manual for the H240, and they didn't seem pleased with that either. Oh well.

The Dealer

Hunter wants you to go through a dealer when requesting parts or info. They want the dealer to service the sale, provide info, and not them. This is the way most big companies operate today.

I had just the opposite experience with the factory. I called to get some gel coat and they promptly returned my call and provided me with the appropriate color and manufacturer information. They also suggested I get some from my dealer, as it was much less expensive than buying it through the factory. Dan Jonas (S/V Feije II)

Contact your dealer, though not all equal

In my current, up on dry land waiting to be fixed. Found out this morning my dealer had called the marinia and offered to purchase the parts needed for repair at dealer cost for them. To late they had already ordered the parts. BUT the dealer was going that big step further than I expected. Jim S/V Java
