Hunter 340 Wiarton
Hi There,

We are looking a purchasing our first boat a 2001 Hunter 340. I know that gelcoat cracks in a boat this age is to be expected, but I am curious if these cracks that are along the molded toe rail are anything to be concerned about given proximity to the hull to deck joint.
There are maybe 3 areas like this on either side of the boat.

Thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with Dennis about the nature of the cracks. The boat is 23 years old.
Use and some UV damage have occurred, like crowfeet around one's eyes.

If the boat is otherwise sound, I would not let cosmetic blemishes hinder my interest in the boat.

@colin59
I posted this earlier today. I'd follow this guy's advice.

how o you fix them?

You can spend a lot of time and effort cleaning, sanding, gel coating, and sanding some more, or just keep the area clean and the cracks won't be as noticeable.
