Gel coat delamination in bilge

We've heard that some newer Hunter 260s have experienced gelcoat delamination in the bilge area. We'd be interested in anyone's experience in this area and repair technique procedures that have been employed.

Tom; Underneath the rear berth in the 260 are access panels to give access to the bilge pump area. Also, you can see the top of the rear portion of the water tank lid. When the tank lid is bonded into the hull, you have the bare fiberglass lid which is coated with beige gel coat for cosmetic purposes. In this case, if the fiberglass was not prepped simply a washing off with dewaxer, then the gel will not stick. It is more cosmetic and nothing structural. Simple solution is to remove gel coat, dewax and recoat. No big deal. Dave Condon
