I need to replace the forward-neutral-reverse gear shift lever and cable assembly that's mounted on the starboard side bulkhead of the cockpit.Any suggestions on where to get the parts I need? The currently mounted assembly is so rusted that I can't make out the manufacturer's name.

As far as I know these are relatively standard. I have looked at both West Marine and a local marine supplier and they both have this kind of item, I don't think it has to be a specific type. Just have to get the right cables to match. I have the type commonly found on sailboats, the side mount, and found it for $500 at West. The shift level is hard to find neutral and the throttle does not hold in place well anymore. Want to switch to a top mount powerboat style, just have to find a new mouthing position. The side mount inside the cockpit well always makes me fell like some is going to kick it.
