Though it didn't feel like the right day to start on it, it was cold this morning, work for the coming season is underway.
Two of my gauges are acting up so today's project was to pull them so I could send them back to the manufacturer. Took off the interior retaining ring and figured they would pop right out, these are not originals so its not like they have been in there for nearly 40 years but they wouldn't budge. I am wondering if the issue was the cold and if the boat has contracted due to it. I mean they wouldn't budge not even wiggle. I didn't want to hit them with anything harder than the palm of my hand but all I got for that was a bruised palm. Anyone got some words of wisdom on getting them out?
On another issue related to gauges my log's sensor has an issue the little wheel that rotates has lost some of its teach. Its an old Standard Horizon, does anyone know where I could either get a replacement wheel or send the unit to be rebuilt?
