I just use a continuous line on my traveler. I have a small hook on the pedestal that I put the line on. Always at the ready. I also have 6:1 Harken ratchet block set for the main sheet with a jam cleat, bypassing the stock set up which uses a winch. Only need to go past the wheel to bring in the jib sheet.
