Gas tank leaking

My gas tank is leaking ---what do i do?...can I take it out the port lazarette? Will it fit through?
Has anyone installed a new one? Does one take it out and repair it and re- insert - sounds like a lot of effort? :cry:

If your tank is leaking, the most likely cause is corrosion in the bottom of the tank. I would recommend replacing the tank, rather than trying to patch the old one. A metal-working shop should be able to duplicate it, or you can see if a plastic tank would fit.
