Garmin service is fantastic

Fellow sailors, Three cheers for Garmin. Last Christmas my wife gave me a 276C. It has worked very well. However, during the summer the voice prompt for the city select failed intermittently. I spoke with Garmin and they had not encountered the problem and suggested that I return it to them. I waited until the ending of the sailing season as the Blue Chart was flawless. In the middle of November I sent the unit to Garmin. They were not sure of what caused the problem so they sent me a new unit. It works perfectly. The response from Garmin was outstanding. The service was prompt and courteous and the e-mail was in simple english. I would strongly recommend the company's products to anyone looking to buy a GPS/chartplotter.

agreed, garmin has great service, but i can't pass an opportunity to say raymarine is the opposite - no service.
