Merry Christmas, anyone have any exp with garmin 740s plotter wf sonar and radar. I am looking at the GMR-18HD radar dome with it. Is it complicated, where did u mount your reciever, are u happy with results ...any other thoughts? Red

I got the 740 and 18 inch HD radar package for my old boat (Catalina 310). I mounted the dome on a Questus pole. I was very satisifed with it. Now have a Simrad package on the new boat and like that even better, particularly the low power draw and close range definition. In any case I don't think you can go wrong with the Garmin-pretty good pricing relative to many others.
