I would like to replace my tired Standard Horizon instruments come spring time and I am looking at the GWS 10 Wind System by Garmin. This package seems to be what I want. A single screen with all of the information on it. We don't presently have a wind indicator on our boat, but have sailed several boats that do, and we like the wind indicator option. So would be interested in some feed back on this Garmin system.
To all of our friends on the east coast, "Hope you fair well, with no problems". Thanks guys. ;)

I have a GWS10 fitted to my H336 and it works very well for us, it was easy to install and to operate.
I have it connected to the NMEA2000 network which means I can display the wind, speed and depth on the screen and it uses the speed information to give true wind speed and direction if required.

We also have a GWS 10. Along with an Airmar DST800, you can display wind, depth, speed and water temp. The GWS 10 also gives you air temp and barometric pressure. We have 2 displays at the helm and will install another at the nav station this winter. The installation is very simple as the bundle comes with an nmea 2000 starter kit.
