Excellent
I have the external antenna model also, but I have used internal antenna models below at the nav desk, and they work fine down there, so the internal antenna will work great at the helm, even if under a bimini, and with no antenna cable to run.The color screen is very bright, and completely readable in direct sunlight. The Blue Chart data is excellent - get the chip that covers your area. I wired mine to my ST-4000 autopilot. I get Speed Over Ground info on my ST-60 speed instrument via SeaTalk network, and waypoint info on the autopilot. If I plan a trip of waypoints on the GPS, the autopilot will take the boat from one waypoint to the next. If you have a DSC capable radio, you can also send GPS info to it.I believe the 182C is being phased out. You will be able to get one at a fairly good price now, if you can get one at all. The replacement, whose model number I don't recall, comes with ALL of the Blue Chart data built in, with no cards or CDs to buy, and the price as I recall was lower than the 182C was before the close out price.Good luck.
