Garmin 162 and 4000

Have a Garmin 162 that I would like to wire to the 4000. Garmin manual gives a pretty straight forward wiring diagram with the black (negative) from the gps going to the negative on the autopilot negative, and the NEMA out wire going to the autopilot postive.Any comments before I charge ahead?Jim

No Dedicated Data Ground

Our autopilot is looking for a NMEA IN and NMEA IN-. They do not have a NMEA OUT- , so you must tie our NMEA IN- pin to battery ground. Otherwise the interfacing should be straightforward.
