Hello Everyone, I just received my order from Garhauer to upgrade some of my C30 running rigging. I just wanted to share with you what I am doing with the traveler plus ask a question about the main sheet blocks.... I am replacing the two blocks on the traveler car, the port and starboard blocks. I have the old original Nico Fico car and curved track. The car, track and end blocks were in great shape but the two single blocks with beckets on either side of the car were shot. I ordered two new ball bearinmg blocks, double sheaved. These look great. I then replaced the old Shaffer cleats on the end blocks with Harken aluminum cleats. On the bottom side of the mounting bracket, I added an eye strap to tie the ends of the traveler line. The traveler system is now 4:1. I am hoping this inexpensive upgrade will help make the traveler system a little easier to use than the old system... without having to replace the entire traveler system,$$. I then purchased the quarter kit...new main sheet blocks and low lead geneoa blocks. The geneoa blocks are really very nice. The main sheet blocks are very nice also...but here is my question/comment...they are huge. Do I really need blocks this big? The blocks have 3" sheeves and look to be like the 60 series blocks. I was expecting 30 or 40 series blocks. Much lighter and smaller. Can someone out there comment on their mainsheet kit they also purchased and what blocks they received. I will of course talk to Garhauer. I just wanted to know what someone else has received and what their experience has been. Thanks. Paul

60 SERIES BLOCKS

I bought garhauer genny blocks- after a discussion with Bill we decided that depending on the angle of the sheet from the block to the winch that the larger size block, 60 series, was required for the higher breaking strength
